I have done a quick calcuation of my latest 6 month water consumption.
At $340.00au. for the 6 months ending 30th June 2006, my cost of water
was much higher that my friend who has a block of land same size as mine,
one half acre in whole area. For 26 weeks for half a year, weekly usage
costs $13.20cents. Leaving the daily water usage at less than $2.00 per day.
How many of us would buy a drink, either fruit juice, soft drink, water or
beer, and not quibble at the cost of that one drink. Now at $2.00 per day,
I get my toilet flushed at least 4 flushes, hands washed, more than 4 as
I am digging in the soil, or cleaning house, soiling my hands in one way or
other. Shower, or bath, at least once a day. Washing clothes, three times
a week, or three loads in automatic washer, even on low water level load,
quiet a few litres of water.
